Inauguration of the Organic Labor Trail

In the Greater Poland region, the Organic Labor Trail, which is co-created by as many as fourteen entities from the region, has been inaugurated. The initiative will promote the heritage of organic labor and seek contemporary contexts within its values. The organizer of the trail is the General Dąbrowski Palace in Winna Góra.

The Organic Labor Trail will tell the story of grassroots labor in Greater Poland, an idea around which civil society was built in the territories under Prussian partition. By inviting visitors to places associated with the lives and activities of organic farmers in Greater Poland, it aims to introduce the inhabitants of the region as well as tourists from Poland and abroad to the ideas of a nonviolent path to freedom. The Trail’s task is also to build a future based on knowledge, civil society, democracy, and respect for freedom.

The signatories to the letter of intent are 14 entities: Adam Mickiewicz Museum in Śmiełów – Branch of the National Museum in Poznań; The Foundation “Bonum adipisci” – Strive to do good; Poznań Heritage Center; Greater Poland Independence Museum; Regional Knowledge Center in Lwówek; Town and Commune of Kórnik; Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences; National Museum of Agriculture and Food Industry in Szreniawa; Poznań Society of Friends of Sciences; Rogalin Palace Museum, Branch of the National Museum in Poznań; Kościan Commune; General Dąbrowski Palace in Winna Góra; Julia Woykowska Foundation; Museum in Gostyń.

The trail will cover 14 locations, with 6 locations in Poznań and 8 outside the city. The part of the trail in Poznań includes the headquarters of the Poznań Society of Friends of Sciences, Raczyński Library, Poznań Bazaar, the Polish Theater, the Woykowski residence, and the upcoming Museum of Greater Poland Uprising. The trail outside of Poznań, on the other hand, includes the Palace in Rogalin, the Palace in Śmiełów, Palace in Turew, the Palace in Pakosław, Kórnik Castle, the Palace in Winna Góra, the Museum of Agriculture in Szreniawa, and the Museum in Gostyń.

On the occasion of the premiere of the Organic Labor Trail in Turew on June 24th, there will be a premiere of the performance “Nurt Organica” by the Polish Dance Theatre. Admission to the event is free, and no prior registration is required. Presentations are planned in various locations in Greater Poland.

This year, there are plans for the expansion of the trail route to include additional towns and points of interest, accompanied by the installation of informational signs. There will also be the development of a cultural and educational program in close collaboration with the trail’s partners, as well as the establishment of a grant program.
