On May 5, the gala of the 18th edition of the Economic Award of the President of the Republic of Poland was held at the Presidential Palace. The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences was among the nominees in the Research + Development category. Institute was nominated for the award by the Polish Academy of Sciences. The justification indicated the recognition of the Institute due to its outstanding scientific and organizational achievements. In addition, the interdisciplinarity and special focus of research on a wide spectrum of issues related to the biogenesis, structure and functioning of nucleic acids, DNA and RNA were distinguished.
