On December 10, at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, the ceremony of doctoral commencement and matriculation of new PhD students of the Poznań Doctoral School of the Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences took place.
Doctoral diplomas in the field of natural sciences were presented by the Director of the Institute, prof. Marek Figlerowicz, and the Chairman of the Scientific Board of IBCH PAS, prof. Andrzej Legocki. The diplomas were received by:
1) in the discipline of chemical sciences:
Dr Paweł Czerniawski (cum laude)
Dr. Agnieszka Mickiewicz-Piotrowska
Dr. Karolina Zielińska (cum laude)
2) in the discipline of biological sciences:
Dr. Barbara Szutkowska (cum laude)
Dr. Kalina Wiatr (cum laude)
During the ceremony, the newly promoted doctors took their doctoral oath.
In the second part, 28 applicants were officially admitted to the group of doctoral students of the Poznań Doctoral School of Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences. All of them won open international competitions for these positions in 2020–2021.
The ceremony was attended by: President of the Poznań Branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences – prof. dr hab. Marek Świtoński, Dean of the 3rd Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences – prof. dr hab. Roman Micnas, directors of the institutes leading PDS IPAS and the management of PDS IPAS.
