On June 4, 2025, the 141st plenary meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS took place.

The Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs, Magdalena Łuczak, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof., presented a summary of the reporting session on the Institute’s activities in 2024, which was held in May of this year. The Deputy Director for Financial Affairs, Adam Kubasiński, presented the Institute’s financial plan for 2025.

During the meeting, a new appointment to the Scientific Council was announced, and habilitation and doctoral diplomas were awarded. Additionally, the Council gave a positive opinion on the appointment of Prof. Marcin Chmielewski to the position of titular professor. It also approved the initiation of habilitation procedures for Dr. Katarzyna Klonowska and Dr. Witold Andrałojć.

Dr. Joanna Banasiak and Dr. Natalia Szóstak presented their scientific achievements and research results in the form of pre-habilitation lectures. The Council also conferred the doctoral degree upon Monika Kwiatkowska, MSc.

During the meeting, changes were made to the supervisors in the ongoing doctoral proceedings of Marta Sztachera, MSc Eng., Julian Zachariasz, MSc, and Mikołaj Małecki, MSc Eng. Supervisors were also appointed for Jarosław Sikora, MSc, Mariana Alegria, MSc, and Maciej Michalczyk, MSc. Additionally, the Council appointed reviewers for the doctoral proceedings of Mateusz Nowaczyk, MSc Eng., and Marianna Pewińska-Kołodziejczak, MSc.
