The “Science on the Trail” project has begun!

On Wednesday, July 30th, the first lecture in the “Science on the Trail” series took place. The series is organized by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS as part of the program “Organic Work – The Legacy of the People of Greater Poland”.

The speaker was Professor Marek Figlerowicz, who gave an engaging and accessible lecture titled “How did the Piast state emerge?“. Prof. Figlerowicz spoke about the origins of humankind and the Slavic peoples from both a classical historical and biological perspective. The lecture combined knowledge from biology, archaeology, and modern research methods. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions and engage in conversation with the speaker.

The event took place at the Municipal Public Library in Kościan and attracted a large audience. The atmosphere was excellent.

We sincerely thank everyone for attending and warmly invite you to future lectures!

The “Science on the Trail” project offers top-level scientific events. Two thematic lecture series have been planned: “Greater Poland – the cradle of Polish statehood” and “Are genes our destiny?”. The lectures will be held at the Municipal Public Library in Kościan and at the Palace in Turew.
