The first edition of the competition of the Ministry of Education and Science was decided last week. We are very pleased to share the information that Marianna Karwacka, PhD student of the Department of Genome Engineering, headed by prof. Marta Olejniczak, has been awarded. Her  project, entitled “The importance of CAG string length polymorphism in the pathogenesis of cancer” was awarded a grant and co-financed with 239,965 PLN.

The aim of the “Pearls of Science” program is to support the units of the higher education and science system in creating conditions for the development of exceptionally talented students by enabling them to conduct scientific research or artistic creation under the supervision of scientific or artistic mentors.
