The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center were the organizers of the competition entitled “Superheroes in the fight against the pandemic” The competition, intended for elementary school students, was carried out under the REGIONAL COVID HUB project and the honorary patronage of the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Region. In the competition, students could submit art works (class I-III) or multimedia works (classes IV-VIII) presenting their vision of heroism in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
On November 21, in the headquarters of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region in Poznan, a gala was held during which the authors of the awarded works received sets of educational games and gifts from the Marshal Office, Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry and Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center. In addition, the schools where the winners study received professional Nikon educational microscopes donated by the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region. Sponsors of the competition were also PRECOPTIC and Integrale IT companies. The ceremony was attended by Member of the Board of the Wielkopolska Region Paulina Stochniałek, Director of the Department of Health of the Local Self-Government of the Wielkopolska Region Anna Jackowska, Deputy Director of this Department Monika Urbańska-Kicuła and representatives of the organizers of the competition – Dr. Krzysztof Kurowski (PSNC), Dr. Natalia Koralewska (IBCH PAS) and Tomasz Kuczynski (PSNC).
