Jacek Kolanowski, PhD, DSc. from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS in Poznań has been awarded the Young Academy of Europe André Mischke Prize for Science and Policy. This prize is given for promoting science, popularizing it, and supporting future generations of scientists and scholars in Europe.

Dr. Jacek Kolanowski has been honored for his contributions to science policy both nationally and internationally. He is the second Pole, after Professor Janusz Bujnicki, to receive this distinction. The Young Academy of Europe André Mischke Prize will be presented at the organization’s annual meeting at the end of November in Wrocław.
