At the IBCH PAS Center for Innovation and Education, operating within the Institute, a new project aimed at young explorers titled “Microworlds of Imagination: Biology, Chemistry, and Art in a Single Frame” will be launched.
The goal of the project is to create a space for dialogue between life sciences and art—one that inspires young people to think both creatively and analytically, develop their imagination, and experiment while exploring the microscopic world as a source of aesthetic experience as well as scientific knowledge. Participants will deepen their knowledge of biology and chemistry, carry out experiments, and combine science with art.
The project, open to all schools in the Greater Poland region, consists of three main components: an art competition, a post-competition exhibition, and a series of popular science lectures and laboratory workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in eight workshops, four lectures, and an exhibition showing the 30 finalist artworks from the competition.
More details about all planned activities will be announced soon on our website.
“Microworlds of Imagination: Biology, Chemistry, and Art in a Single Frame” is co-funded from the state budget, awarded by the Minister of Education under the Explorers 2025 program. The funding amounts to PLN 215,000, with the total project value reaching PLN 227,000. The agreement was signed in July 2025.
