We would like to conclude the year 2024 by highlighting a significant achievement of researchers associated with the IBCH PAS. This year, in the World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking, which includes the most frequently cited researchers in the world, the following were recognized: Prof. Mariusz Jaskólski (IBCH PAS, A. Mickiewicz University, Poznan), Prof. Paweł Bednarek (IBCH PAS), Prof. Jacek Antoni Błażewicz (IBCH PAS,Poznan University of Technology), and Prof. Maciej Stobiecki (IBCH PAS).

The ranking consists of two separate lists. The first evaluates the entire scientific career of researchers, based on data collected since 1960. The second considers only publications and citations from the most recent calendar year.

Prof. Bednarek has also been included in the list of the most frequently cited researchers according to the 2023 data.

The World’s Top 2% Scientists ranking is compiled by analysts from Stanford University and Elsevier Publishing. It assesses various indicators, such as the number of citations, the number of published articles, the scientist’s position and role in publications, and the Hirsch index.
