In this year’s edition of the international competition organized by the JPND Understanding the Mechanisms for Non-Pharmacological Interventions network, 14 winning projects were selected from 92 proposals. Among them was the project NEURODIET: Molecular Mechanisms of Therapeutic Nutritional Approaches in Neurodegeneration/Molecular Mechanisms of Dietary Intervention on Neurodegeneration. The leader of the Polish team is Maciej Figiel, PhD, from the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan, Poland, and the coordinator of the entire project is Thorsten Schmidt, Eberhard Karls Universitaet Tuebingen, Germany.
