On June 22-24, the 1st International Polish Yeast Conference was held in Rzeszów. Over 100 scientists participated in the conference. The conference program was graced with lectures by world-famous yeast researchers. We are pleased to announce that the award for the best oral presentation was awarded to prof. inst. Kamilla Grzywacz (title of the presentation: Emerging functions of ribosome-associated noncoding RNAs during stress response in Saccharomyces cerevisiae), and for the best poster – for PhD student Piotr Pietras (poster entitled: snoRNA-derived small RNAs as possible regulators of translation), both from the Department of Functional Transcriptomics.
