The call for applications for the AgroBio Top Award, awarded annually by the Committee of Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, has already started. Young scientists whose recognized achievements in the field of biotechnology have contributed to the development of agricultural sciences and make an outstanding contribution to the development of agriculture may apply for the award. The purpose of the award is also to promote Polish science. The laureate of last year’s edition was dr hab. Miłosz Ruszkowski, an employee of our Institute. In the 2022 edition, the achievements contributing to the implementation of the idea of sustainable agriculture, assuming reducing the impact of agriculture on the environment, while maintaining its profitability and ensuring social acceptance, will be especially rewarded. The competition is organized by the Committee of Biotechnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and the co-organizer is Bayer Sp. z o.o. based in Warsaw. Applications can be sent to the e-mail address of prof. dr. hab. Tomasz Twardowski (tomasz.twardowski@ibch.poznan.pl) until August 31, 2022.
