Together with the Poznań branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Human Genetics PAS, we warmly invite you to the 15th Brain Week in Poznań. This year, it will run from March 11th to 15th, every day from 4:00 PM.During five meetings, ten scientists, specialists from various fields of science, will be uncovering the mysteries of how our nervous system works. We will learn, among other things, why do we experience winter depression? What to do when our thoughts are scattered and we can’t focus? Is it true that out of sight, out of mind? Does depression hurt? What resides in the dictator’s brain? We will also hear about how copper harms our brain and whether the brain can be repaired using electrical impulses. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to find out if memory is fleeting and how much space we have in our brains for storing thoughts. The lectures will take place in the Turquoise Hall of the Działyński Palace – the exact address is Stary Rynek 78/79 (2nd floor). Admission is free. Live streaming will be available on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@OPANPoznan), so we especially invite you to listen, even those of you who do not plan to visit Poznań.Detailed information is available on the poster and at the following link: https://poznan.pan.pl/tydzienmozgu/
