Dr. Volodymyr Cherkas’ project evaluated as an excellent concept.

American experts designated by the National U.S. Academy of Sciences, together with representatives of the Polish Academy of Sciences, evaluated the merits of the projects submitted to the “Long-term – to support Ukrainian research teams” program.

In the end, 13 concepts rated as outstanding were selected, and among them was the project of Dr. Volodymyr Cherkas from the Laboratory of Molecular Testing and Imaging. Dr. Cherkas was awarded funding for a project titled Nanoscale Hippocalcin Signaling in Long-Term Depression in Norm and Primary Dystonia, which is planned to employ 4 scientists from the Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology and NASU’s Palladin Institute of Biochemistry from Ukraine.
