IBCH PAS Christmas Meeting

– I am very happy that after a difficult pandemic period we can meet again – this is how Prof. Marek Figlerowicz, director of the Institute of Biochemistry PAS, welcomed those who came to the Christmas meeting.

During his speech, he emphasized the contribution of the Institute’s scientists to its development and its high position among scientific institutions.

It was also a nice opportunity to emphasize long-term work for the Institute – on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of work, special distinctions were awarded to prof. dr hab. Ryszard Kierzek and prof. dr hab. Adam Kraszewski. In turn, 35 years of their scientific career were celebrated by: prof. dr hab. Jacek Stawinski, prof. dr hab. Maciej Stobiecki and dr hab. Jan Wrzesinski. This year Paweł Ostach celebrated his 30th anniversary of work.

Recognition for creating comfortable research conditions for other employees of the IBCH PAS went to: dr. Jakub Barciszewski and dr Kamil Szpotkowski. Doctor Arkadiusz Kajdasz received a distinction for popularizing science and research at IBCH PAS among schoolchildren. Anastasia Zaremba, MA, was appreciated for organizing a collection for Ukrainian soldiers and doctors. Monika Gazecka, M.Sc., was awarded for her great commitment during the “Hello holidays” campaign.

The whole event was crowned with a recital of the Poznań Chamber Choir of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
