We would like to inform that on July 13, 2023, the Scientific Board of the IBCH PAS conferred the postdoctoral degree of habilitated doctor in the field of natural sciences in the discipline of chemical sciences to Dr. Jacek Kolanowski. The title of his habilitation thesis is “Development and practical application of fluorescent probes for reliable detection and visualization of bioinorganic substances in biological systems”.

Dr. Jacek Kolanowski is the head of the Laboratory of Molecular Probes and Prodrugs and the Center for High-Throughput Screening Research, as well as the president of the Young Academies Science Advice Structure. His research interests encompass the design, synthesis, validation, and utilization of low-molecular-weight chemical compounds for visualizing and controlling biochemical parameters in biological models.
