We are pleased to announce that on March 12, 2025, the IBCH PAS Scientific Council awarded Dr. Anna Piasecka the postdoctoral degree of habilitated doctor (DSc) in the field of natural sciences, in the discipline of biological sciences. Dr. Piasecka applied for the habilitation degree based on her scientific achievement titled “Identification of metabolomic markers in plants from family Poaceae and Brassicaceae related to response to abiotic and biotic stress“.

Dr. Anna Piasecka is an assistant professor in the Department of Plant Functional Metabolomics, headed by Prof. Paweł Bednarek. Her research interests include abiotic and biotic plant stresses, low-molecular-weight compounds, and their analysis using a metabolomic approach based on liquid chromatography (LC) or its combination with mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
