We are pleased to announce that more grants awarded to researchers at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences under competitions organized by the National Science Centre.

The following projects received funding:

• Prof. Elżbieta Kierzek, head of the RNA Structural Genomics, SHENG 4, project title: „Dynamic RNA structures including pseudoknots and G-quadruplexes of influenza type A virus RNAs as targets for designing novel peptide nucleic acids for inhibition and modulation of viral replication”,
• Dr. Paweł Świtoński, head of the Department of Neuronal Cell Biology, OPUS 29, project title: „Identifying changes in Purkinje cell chromatin dynamics as novel drivers of neuronal vulnerability in spinocerebellar ataxias”,
• Kinga Pokrywka, MSc, Department of Structural Biology of Eukaryotes, PRELUDIUM 24, project title: „Search for inhibitors of asparaginases from Burkholderia cepacia and Burkholderia cenocepacia as potential therapeutic agents in cystic fibrosis-associated infections”.
