On 26 January 2026, a meeting of the Council of Rectors of the City of Poznań was held at the Poznań University of Economics and Business, during which an agreement was signed to launch the PoDEST mobility programme for doctoral candidates in Poznań. The agreement was signed by universities affiliated with the Council of Rectors of the City of Poznań, as well as institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences: the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS, the Institute of Dendrology PAS, the Institute of Molecular Physics PAS, the Institute of Human Genetics PAS, and the Institute of Plant Genetics PAS. The PoDEST programme enables doctoral candidates to undertake courses outside their home university or PAS institute in the current academic year 2025/2026. Detailed rules governing participation in the programme are set out in the regulations available on the websites of the participating universities and PAS institutes.
