We are pleased to announce that a researcher from the IBCH PAS has been included on the list of laureates of the MINIATURA 10 grant call organised by the National Science Centre.

Funding has been awarded to a project led by Marta Sztachera, PhD. Eng. from the Department of Non-coding RNAs, entitled ”Analysis of circular RNA Cdr1as interactions with RNA-binding proteins in the mouse nervous system”.

The aim of the project is to investigate the interactions of circular RNA (Cdr1as) with selected RNA-binding proteins in the mouse brain. The research will also cover the spatial characteristics of these interactions, enabling their precise localisation to be mapped in various brain regions and at the intracellular level.

The project will confirm the presence of these natural interactions directly within neural tissue. The results obtained will provide a solid foundation for further functional analyses and bring us closer to understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying neuropsychiatric disorders associated with abnormalities in Cdr1as expression.
