Sonatina 10 grant awarded to a researcher at the IBCH PAS

We are delighted to announce that Natalia Ziojła, PhD from Department of Medical Biotechnology has been awarded a prestigious grant by the National Science Centre in the SONATINA 10 competition!

The project is titled: “Deciphering the molecular mechanisms driven by atrophin 1 in nervous system development and DRPLA pathogenesis”.

The project focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying the function of atrophin-1 and its role in the normal development of the nervous system, as well as in the onset and progression of the neurodegenerative disease known as DRPLA (Dentatorubral-pallidoluysian atrophy).

Huge congratulations to the Project Leader on this achievement!
