„RNA goes viral” conference

We would like to invite you to the conference entitled “RNA goes viral” organized on the occasion of the 70th birthday of prof. dr hab. Ryszard Kierzek. The conference will be held on 1-2 July 2021 at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznań.

Taking into account the pandemic caused by SARS-CoV2 and possible sanitary and epidemiological restrictions, the conference will be hybrid: some participants will be able to be present in the lecture room while all lecture will be transmitted online. Due to the interest and scientific activity of the Honorable Jubilarian, the conference will be of an interdisciplinary nature.

The first day of the conference will focus on the topic of nucleic books, and the second day topics will focus on viruses with an emphasis on current news on SARSCoV-2 topics. We invited leading scientists from around the world to deliver plenary lectures. Among them there are:

  • prof. Douglas H. Turner (University of Rochester),
  • prof. Gang Chen (Chinese University of Hong Kong),
  • prof. Luis Martinez-Sobrido (Texas Biomedical Research Institute),
  • prof. Stefan Pöhlmann (German Center for Primates – Leibniz Institute for Primate Research).

The exact dates for registering for the conference and applying for a speech will be announced soon. We invite you to check the latest news on the IBCH PAS website, where detailed information about the Conference will be posted on an ongoing basis
