On December 11, 2024, the 139th plenary meeting of the Scientific Council of IBCH PAS took place. Statutory topics for 2025 were approved, and the results of the evaluation of scientific staff for the years 2022–2023 were summarized.

Prof. Andrzej Legocki submitted his resignation from the position of Chair of the Scientific Council, a role he had held since 2011. Appreciation was expressed for his invaluable work and dedication. Prof. Marek Figlerowicz was elected as the new Chair of the Scientific Council.

During the meeting, members of the Habilitation Committee for Dr. Monika Piwecka were appointed.

The Council awarded doctoral degrees to the following individuals: Angelika Andrzejewska-Romanowska, MSc (with distinction); Paulina Bierwagen, MSc Eng.; Adrianna Grabowska, MSc; Żaneta Kalinowska-Pośka, MSc; Masoor Ahmed Khan, MSc; Wojciech Witek, MSc (with distinction). Reviewers were appointed for the doctoral proceedings of Monika Kwiatkowska, MSc Eng., and Anna Wasilewska-Burczyk, MSc. Supervisors were assigned to the doctoral students of the doctoral school: Faizan Faizan, MSc; Adrián Guirao Jiménez, MSc; Maria Sokulska, MSc; and Agata Warlich, MSc. Additionally, a supervisor was appointed for the external doctoral proceedings of Marcin Osuch, MSc.

Furthermore, a Gender Equality Representative for IBCH PAS was elected.
