On December 3, 2025, the 143rd plenary meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS was held.

In the first, ceremonial part of the meeting, Dr Annasha Dutta took the doctoral oath and received her doctoral diploma from Prof. Marek Figlerowicz.

The Council considered the application of Monika Piwecka, PhD, DSc, for employment as a professor at IBCH PAS and listened to her presentation. The Council also discussed changes regarding procedures for awarding doctoral degrees. Doctoral degrees were awarded to Marta Sztachera, MSc Eng., Mateusz Nowaczyk, MSc Eng., and Anna Wasilewska-Burczyk, MSc.

A change of supervisor was approved in the doctoral procedure of Ayca Olcay, MSc, and the proposed reviewers were discussed for the doctoral procedures of Martyna Mateja-Pluta, MSc, Anastasiia Zaremba, MSc, Serhii Kozin, MSc, and Ayca Olcay, MSc.

During the meeting, the report of the Council’s Committee for the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center was presented, and the recognition of a doctoral diploma was approved.

At the end of the meeting, the Institute’s Director, Luiza Handschuh, PhD, DSc, Assoc. Prof., informed the Council Members about recently obtained research projects, awards, and scientific articles published by the Institute’s staff.

The next meeting of the IBCH PAS Scientific Council will take place in March 2026.
