During a meeting with the staff of the Institute and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center, Prof. Marek Figlerowicz summarized his 12 years of activity as the Director of IBCH PAS. The Director’s speech was met with a standing ovation.

Following that, Prof. Figlerowicz expressed gratitude to individuals who had shown immense dedication in building the scientific position of the Institute. The Director presented a special edition of Jędrzej Śniadecki’s book titled “Teoryja jestestw organicznych” to Prof. Mariusz Jaskólski, Prof. Ryszard Kierzek, Prof. Maciej Stobiecki, and Prof. Jan Wrzesiński. He also awarded medals of recognition and appreciation for contributions to the Institute to the following: Dr. Jakub Barciszewski, Prof. Adam Kraszewski, MSc. Dorota Nosal, MSc. Elżbieta Kopińska, MSc. Agata Redmer, Dr. hab. Michał Sobkowski, Prof. IBCH PAS, MSc. Grażyna Wawrzyniak, MSc. Eng. Katarzyna Wielentejczyk, MSc. Teresa Wojciechowska, and Dr. Andrzej Wójtowicz.

Wishes on behalf of the staff were conveyed to the departing Director by Dr. hab. Luiza Handschuh, Prof. IBCH PAS.

Prof. Andrzej Legocki presented the Director with the framed first pages of two scientific articles on nucleic acids, created at the beginning of our institution’s activity. Prof. Jan Węglarz and the Steering Committee for PSNC expressed gratitude for successful collaboration over the years. Prof. Jan Barciszewski, in his speech, emphasized the readiness for cooperation that Prof. Marek Figlerowicz consistently demonstrated regardless of the situation.

In conclusion, the Director invited all employees to a reception.
