On December 6, 2023, the 135th plenary meeting of the Scientific Board of the IBCH PAS took place.

During the meeting, Prof. Marek Figlerowicz, concluding his third term as the Director of the Institute, was formally thanked. Dr. hab. Luiza Handschuh, Prof. IBCH PAS, who was appointed as the new Director of the IBCH PAS starting on December 1, 2023, was also welcomed. Furthermore, the candidacy of Dr. hab. Magdalena Łuczak, Prof. IBCH PAS, for the position of Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs was presented.

The IBCH PAS Scientific Board listened to presentations by Dr. hab. Agnieszka Kiliszek and Dr. Witold Andrałojć as candidates for the heads of new scientific departments in the field of chemistry.

Subsequently, during deliberations, the Scientific Board conferred the doctoral degree upon MScs. Marcin Biesiada, Małgorzata Marszałek-Zeńczak, and Marta Wojnicka. Moreover, doctoral diplomas were awarded to Drs. Paulina Nawrocka-Muszyńska and Konrad Pakul. Supervisors were appointed for the doctoral proceedings of MSc. Anastasia Satyr, as well as supervisors for doctoral students of the doctoral school: MScs. Alicja Rzepczak, Kinga Plawgo, and Daniel Fochtman. Finally, the Scientific Board also approved statutory topics that will be implemented in 2024.
