It was a remarkable day at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS. We thank everyone who honored us with their presence on May 24th during the Open Doors Day event. We hope you had a great time and will consider visiting us again in the future.
In the large lecture hall, Ms. Katarzyna Chojnacka, the head of the Research Support Unit, welcomed the guests. Following her, the Director of the Institute, Luiza Handschuh, PhD., DSc. Assoc. Prof., gave a presentation about the Institute’s activities and offerings. Later, the Head of the Poznań Doctoral School of IPAS, Mariola Dutkiewicz, PhD., DSc. Assoc. Prof., encouraged attendees to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the Doctoral School. Finally, PhD students from IBCH PAS shared insights into why applying for doctoral scholarships at the Institute is worthwhile.
During the subsequent part of the event, participants had the chance to familiarize themselves with the practical aspects of working at the Institute. Heads of Departments and Laboratories presented various collaboration opportunities, including internships and positions available for doctoral students and post-docs within projects. The laboratory tours were met with great enthusiasm among the attendees. Additionally, the team from the Department of Biomolecular NMR provided a sweet surprise in the form of handcrafted ice cream made using liquid nitrogen for all participants.
We eagerly anticipate the next such event.
