On January 25, 2023, the 131st plenary meeting of the Scientific Board of the IBCH PAS was held. Since it was the first meeting of the Scientific Board for 2023-2026 term, the Chairman, Deputy Chairmen and Secretary of the Board were elected. Scientific Board committees were also appointed. The first part of the meeting was chaired by the Dean of the Division II of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, prof. Krzysztof W. Nowak, who handed over the appointments to the new members of the Board and thanked those who took part in the work of the Board of the previous term. The Scientific Board of the IBCH PAS for 2023-2026 term consists of 48 people. The chairman of the Board was prof. Andrzej B. Legocki, ordinary member of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The positions of Deputy Chairmen were taken by prof. Adam Szewczyk from the Institute of Experimental Biology PAS in Warsaw and prof. Michal Sobkowski from IBCH PAS. The duties of the Secretary of the Board were entrusted to Dr. Joanna Banasiak.

In the open part of the meeting, dr inż. Anna Piasecka presented her achievements, which are the subject of the habilitation application. The title of the lecture was: “Identification of metabolomic markers of Poaceae and Brassicaceae plants in abiotic and biotic stresses”
