According to the notification signed by Prof. Romuald Zabielski, the Chairman of the Council of Provosts of the Second Division of Biological and Agricultural Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, the President of the PAS has appointed Dr. Hab. Luiza Handschuh, Prof. IBCH PAS, as the Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS in Poznań, starting from December 1, 2023, for a four-year term until November 30, 2027.

The appointment was a result of the competition, performed in accordance with §12 of the regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education dated November 22, 2010, regarding the competition for the position of director of a scientific institute of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Journal of Laws No. 233, item 1530, as amended). Following the competition proceedings, the Selection Committee for the Director’s position at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS in Poznań, by resolution No. 2/2023 issued on October 31, 2023, has selected the candidacy of Dr. Hab. Luiza Handschuh, Prof. IBCH PAS, for the position of Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS in Poznań.
