EU-OPENSCREEN ERIC is a consortium offering a unique research infrastructure in the field of chemical biology, providing high-quality services in high-throughput screening and medicinal chemistry to users from academia and industry. The Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS is a partner in this consortium from 2019.
The new project IMPULSE (IMProving User experience, Long-term sustainability and Services of EU-OPENSCREEN) aims at improving and developing the services offered by EU-OPENSCREEN. The IMPULSE project is a response to the increasing complexity of drug discovery processes. The initiative aims to develop, validate, and integrate new services based on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and innovative cellular models combined with CRISPR-Cas9/RNAi-based genetic testing. It will also continue to implement common operational standards to ensure greater data reproducibility and interoperability. The project brings together 25 partners from 10 countries. The project is funded by the European Union’s HORIZON EUROPE programme.
The project kick-off meeting in Berlin was attended by Dr. Dorota Kwiatek and Dr. Dorota Jakubczyk from the ERIC Centre for Chemical Biology, which operates within the IBCH PAS.
