Polish Science Day

On 19 February, we celebrate Polish Science Day. This holiday commemorates the achievements of Polish scientists and their contribution to the development of global science. It is also an opportunity to highlight the importance of science, promote knowledge, and inspire others to pursue research careers.

The holiday was established on the anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus, whose heliocentric theory changed the course of the history of science. It has been celebrated since 2020.

Scientists at the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS conduct interdisciplinary research at the interface of chemistry, biology, and computer science, studying living organisms at various levels of organization. Their work encompasses bioorganic chemistry and molecular biology, as well as modern research areas such as biomedicine, genomics, neurobiology, and systems biology.

On the occasion of Polish Science Day, we wish all employees and the entire scientific community every success and great satisfaction in their research work. May your passion lead to further discoveries and inspire future generations.
