We are proud to announce that on October 14, 2026, at the Marshal’s Office in Poznań, during the Greater Poland Smart Specialization Forum conference held under the motto “Startups in Practice,” Dr. Hab. Luiza Handschuh, Prof. of IBCH PAS – Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry, PAS – received an official appointment as a member of the Greater Poland Smart Specialization Forum. This nomination highlights the key role that ICHB PAS plays in shaping development directions, transferring knowledge, and building strong ties between science and business in our region. The presence of our Institute’s representative in such a distinguished group is an expression of recognition for our ongoing efforts towards the commercialization of research, as well as proof that our research perspective has a real impact on the regional innovation strategy.

The conference’s themes perfectly aligned with the challenges currently faced by the scientific community striving for market implementations. A broad spectrum of issues was discussed – from building the value of startups, through identifying their needs, to optimizing support systems.

Participation in such events reinforces our belief that knowledge commercialization is a complex process, requiring not only innovative research but also business ambidexterity and close cooperation with market experts. We are grateful for the trust placed in us and are thrilled that together we can build an innovative Greater Poland!
